Release 7/7: TERR093
"'Spirals' explores the use of layering ideas played on either drum kit/percussion, focusing on the use of interweaving rhythmic structures coupled with repetitive sustained textures. I aim to transcend the listener by creating a dense sound world that blends together overlapping scattered rhythms and jangly textures, some of which are electronically manipulated through the use of contact mics, feedback and harmonic effects.

The second track, ‘Spiral Sketches’, features Adam Halliwell on electric guitar, and was initially composed as a skeleton for us to freely improvise over."

"Her compositions are tectonic, shifting soundscapes, while her improvisations use every corner of the drum kit and beyond."
